How to clean Green Delayed Petcoke from Ship Hold

Cleaning Methods for Green Delayed Petcoke

Green Petcoke, also known as Raw or Delayed Petcoke, is an unprocessed coke obtained directly from the coker. Due to its high oil content, cleaning Green Delayed Petcoke is more challenging than ordinary calcined petcoke. It often leaves stubborn, oily stains on metal surfaces that become increasingly difficult to remove over time.

To ensure proper cleaning, remove all residue immediately after discharge using a high-pressure sprayer. Unlike dry calcined petcoke, Green Petcoke requires specialized cleaning agents formulated to dissolve and emulsify oily carbon deposits effectively.

Recommended Cleaning Product
➡ Green Petcoke Remover – RXSOL-25-2204-210
A powerful cleaner designed specifically to remove green delayed petcoke residues and stubborn stains from ship cargo holds, decks, and equipment surfaces.

Recommended Practice (Before Loading)
Before loading Green Petcoke, it is strongly recommended to apply RXSOL SLIP COAT on the cargo hold surface.
This polymer-based coating acts as a protective slip barrier, preventing direct contact between petcoke and metal surfaces, thus making post-unloading cleaning much easier.
