Product Details

Application

This conditioner is highly ECONOMICAL, non toxic , non polluting chemical its lower concentration effectivenes with water keeps it in very ECONOMICAL GRADE materials class.  Mud Remover uses the chemical principle of flocculation to attract mud particles into "flocs" (small fluffy particles). As a result, the "stickiness" of the mud is greatly reduced, preventing it from packing down and allowing for easy flushing by the water flow during deballasting.

FIELD FOR USE :

•Ballast Tanks
•Double Bottom
•Tanks
•Floating Drydocks
•Manual Tank Cleaning
•Cooling Water Systems

BENEFITS :::

•Increases cargo carrying capacity
•Aids in removal of existing mud deposits
•Lowers corrosion rates
•Prevents mud buildup
•Easier tank inspections by regulatory agencies
•Reduces fuel costs
•Enhances tank coating performance

Continued use of Sediment Remover prevents the deposition of sediments, mud or silt in ballast tanks, cooling water systems, pipelines etc.. Further, it can be used with mechanical action to dislodge existing mud or silt in ballast tanks. Sediment Remover should be injected in small quantities into ballast or cooling water systems prior to filling the tanks or system. Mud present will not adhere to either itself or to bulkheads, tank structures or inside pipelines. If heavy deposits are present, an increased dosage will remove a portion of the sediment after each application. Thick mud deposits will require several applications.

Dosage & Procedure

 0.002 to 0.005 % ( i.e 200 ml for 10000 Ltrs water ) ,depends on DEPOSITION of MUD.

ONE litre of Sediment Remover per each 10 tonnes of Ballast Water. ONE litre of Sediment Remover per each 10 tonnes of Cooling Water. For the removal of existing accumulations increase the dosage by 2-3 times depending on the ballast time available and the quantity of mud to be removed. Mechanical agitation may be required.

Inject Sediment Remover preferably into the suction line of the ballast or cooling water pump to ensure thorough mixing with the incoming water. If possible, circulate the water through the tanks and the suspended mud and silt will be pumped out when de-ballasting.

Technical Specifications

Features & Benefits
A highly effective liquid compound for the removal of sediments, silt and mud from ballast tanks, cooling water systems, pipelines.

Sediment Remover will keep mud in suspension and will clean fouled systems completely provided the appropriate dosage levels and application times are adhered to.

Sediment Remover is a Polymer based product. It does not contain acid, alkali or solvent. Sediment Remover is completely biodegradable and hasno hazard indications.

Sediment Mud Silt Remover is an odourless, pale yellow, polymerised viscous liquid designed for effective removal of sediments, silt, and mud.
Its dual-action polymerisation mechanism prevents hard mud deposition on metal surfaces while keeping particles in a loose, easily removable state.
The product functions as a polyelectrolyte conditioner, ensuring efficient dispersion and conditioning of suspended solids.
Highly economical, non-toxic, and non-polluting, it delivers strong performance even at very low dosage levels.

Notes & Precautions

Reduces unwanted mud load form tanks

RXSOL-23-2900-025 is a liquid cationic polymer of high molecular weight, specifically designed to treat, condition and prevent the deposit of mud and sediment commonly found in ship’s ballast tanks. RXSOL-23-2900-025 uses the chemical principle of flocculation to attract mud particles into small fluffy particles . As a result, the “stickiness” of the mud is reduced, preventing it from packing down and allowing for easy flushing by the water flow during deballasting.

RXSOL-23-2900-025 is considered nonhazardous and nontoxic, but as is normal when handling any chemical, care should be exercised to prevent
eye or skin contact. Should contact occur, wash affected areas with water. Standard protective equipment is recommended.

Industry Applications

How to KEEP Ballast Water Tank Clean?

RXSOL-23-2900-025 Sediment Mud Silt removes silt and mud from ballast tanks by attracting particles together and making them more flowing and prevents hard deposition. Keeps mud and silt in suspension and cleans fouled ballast water tanks. RXSOL-23-2900-025 uses the chemical principle of flocculation to attract mud particles into small fluffy particles . As a result, the “stickiness” of the mud is reduced, preventing it from packing down and allowing for easy flushing by the water flow during deballasting.
